TWISTLESS SPINNING: PART 1

ADHESIVE BONDING:

This process of spinning involves the arrangement of fibres parallel to each other and they are bonded with adhesives i.e bonding materials or agent and this process is called as the adhesive bonding.


CONTINUOUS FELTING: 

This process is only used for the wool fibres. Felting is inherent characteristic of wool fibres which interlocks them in felting media in turn increases inter fibre friction.


ADHESIVE PROCESS OF TWISTLESS SPINNING:

In adhesive process of twistless spinning system there are many methods are used to form the yarn.
The twistless spinning system is also called as high speed spinning system.The followings are the methods are used in twistless spinning:



  • TWILO PROCESS
  • TEK-JA PROCESS
  • TNO TWISTLESS SPINNING MACHINE(TWILO PROCESS)
  • PAVENA SYSTEM
  • BOBTEX ICS-I
  • BOBTEX ICS-II
  • ABS (AERODYNAMIC BRAKE SPINNING)



TWILO PROCESS:



TWILO PROCESS

-This system is made by signaalapparaten of holand.

-The 3rd passage drawframe is feed to the machine.the sliver which is used can be of sotton fibre, synthetic blended, or viscose. and the sliver must be pre-conditioned.

-In which, the first blending drawframe is used and the PVA(POLY VINYL ALCOHOL) fibres are blended in amount of 5-11%. the PVA fibres which are used must be finer and having the density of 1.7 dtex and length 40mm.

-Then this blended sliver of PVA is feeded to the machine. and passes to the pre-drafting zone having draft 5-10. here fibres are drafted.

-Then this fibre strand is passes to the waterjet false twister is some amount of false twist is added.
and the material go to the post drafting zone havin draft 40.

-Now the material is passes from the steam jet false twister with 70 degree centigrade. here the PVA fibres are melted and they are act like bonding agent. and bond the fibre strand together. drier is used to dry the yarn passing from the steam jet.

-then the dried yarn is taken and wound on the package.


YARN PARAMETERS:

-the yarn is not round but flat therefore gives an end product with high covering power.
-because of the binder, the yarn is stiff with low elongation
-the evenness is like as the ring spun yarn
-the strength of the yarn is depend on the delivery speed.


FEATURES OF TWILO PROCESS:

-High power is required.
-The use of water in spinning mill is required.
-There may be chances of washing out of the adhesive material.
-If the material is washed out then the final product is unusable.
